SIGMA OKLAHOMA FOUNDATION

OBJECTIVES

1. To develop, encourage and promote education, social action and economic programs primarily in support of, but not limited to, the active chapters of Phi Beta Sigma within the state of Oklahoma. To help identify and direct resources toward areas of need, and generally, furthering and supporting the advancement of community, social and educational services associated with Bigger and Better Business, Social Action, and Education developed by the foundation. This shall include, but not be limited to, the acquisition of properties necessary to support the above 3 programs, providing technical and educational staff to support the community. 

2. To seek and provide funds from gifts and grants from governmental agencies, members of the general public, corporations and foundation to develop, purchase, lease, and acquire, by any lawful means, equipment and programs for use in the educational, cultural/social and economic programs operated in furtherance of such purposes. 

3. To conduct research, publish and distribute literature, develop, produce and disseminate materials and programs in other audio, visual, electronics, and print media in furtherance of these purposes. 

4. To hire professional, technical, and other persons or employees as may be necessary to carry out the purposes for which this Organization is formed and to enter into such contracts or agreements with other corporations or organizations formed for similar or related purposes.
